That's kind of vague, where exactly is the circle/check mark you speak of?

What checkmark do you mean? Do you mean the black exclamation mark in the red triangle? If that is the case then that is how you report a problematic post to a moderator.

I think the OP is talking about the icon to suscribe to a thread, in the green app.
It's on the right of the green bar, in between the magnifying glass and the row of 3 dots.

The circle with the checkmark in it is between the thread title and the three dots on the iPhone app. It fills alternately with white or green when touched. I presume this is what is being called the green app as I only use my iPhone for access to this forum. I am somewhat of a dinosaur in the digital age, but I've been on this forum for years and I've never before had problems with reading or posting. I have somehow now enabled the read and not read feature, but the not read bar on the left of a post never goes away even after reading. The forum content is great and I just would like to know how to use it mechanically. Are there instructions anywhere?

Correction. The not read bar is now disappearing after the post is read.

Not being picky, but some folks might get confused.........the app is not an iPhone app. It's just an App.

The checkmark in the circle is for subscribing to the thread if you touch it.

There are many user adjustable settings to tailor how the app (it is now a tapatalk clone) functions/looks for your particular needs. Dig into the settings and most are self explanatory.

Or... Google tapatalk tutorials and hundreds of hits come up.

Thanks for this info but the OP is using the green Forest river app not the orange tapatalk app.

They are now the same. The green FR app is just a branded version of the Tapatalk app. Go to settings and read the Privacy Policy, it's copyrighted by Tapatalk. I have both, as of the update a week or so ago, they are exactly the same.
