Can you tell me a little about what happened? Did you reply and it didn't post? Did you see the post on a page and then later it wasn't there (if so, what page?)?

If you are using the new posts link to look at recent content this might be the cause. The list you see there is posts you have not yet read. The assumption here is that if you made the post, you've read it....
