Emails disappearing

Logged into my hotmail account Monday and all of my emails were gone. Spent a lot of time going into my deleted folder and recovering a number of emails and they disappeared again. Has any else experienced this and if so, is there a reason why this is happening and is there a solution to prevent it from happening again?

That'd be the first thing I would do.

Also maybe think about setting up a secondary email and start transferring everything over to that. Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo or something like that. I didn't even know hotmail still existed.

Sorry- old habits are hard to break. It is a Hotmail account. Also, I have gmail and yahoo email accounts set up already so how do I transfer everything over to one of them?

It would be quicker for you to Google for detailed instructions than for someone to step you through it on this forum.

Forward all emails from one account to the other, one at a time.

It was probably the Russians that did it.
