Getting rid of popup that asks me to subscribe to newsletter

I am sure everyone else gets the pop up asking to subscribe to the FRF news letter. I have already subscribed, and now that pop up is more of an annoyance than anything else. Is there a way to get rid of it?

The website uses cookies to know that you have already clicked on the newsletter popup. If you clear your browsers cache/cookies each time you sign off, then you will get the popup the next time you log in to the forums.

I dont clear anything and I stay logged into the forums. I figured it was a cookie issue.. I'll have to dig deeper into this I guess.

Every time you close your browser or turn off your computer the cashe, which also contains the cookies is cleared. Also, many times when you loose service the cache is reset. Many times clearing your cache can clear up issues where there is conflict with updated web pages.

The advertisers will be angry but I use a popup/ad blocker (uBlock Origin) and have never seen that popup or any of the ads. (I do see the ads when I view the forums with my cell phone.

This can be changed in settings.

I completely agree it is obnoxious to say the least. It is such a hassle I do not get on this forum if I am on my tablet.

I am on chrome too.. and run pop up blocker, but this one still comes up. And it comes up just about every time I change pages on the website. Gets old real quick. I use tapatalk on the phone but I'm not always on my phone.

it has to have something with the way your browser is handling cookies...
if you have the cookie installed by signing in, then it won't ask you the next time...

try a different browser a couple of times and see if it happens then... if you still have a problem then another program is handling your cookies, or lack thereof

this is my setting for cookies in chrome... search cookies in chrome settings

Newsletter popup

Firefox on laptop -I allow all cookies, I do not purge them when closing browser, I have adblock plus enabled, and I get this popup repeatedly (about every minute), during the entire time I am on the site. I close the pop-up and it just keeps comes back. It does NOT appear to be a cookie purging issue. And it is ridiculous to have to change browsers to obviate poor coding.
