Really wouldn't want to see censorship if no rules have been broken.

Moderators have lives too.
Many are camping in areas without internet and I am away on a family vacation in Oregon with the DW. The forum is not a top priority for me at the moment.
We need to talk this out and reach a consensus before we proceed.

Yes the thread went out of hand and got derogatory whether in jest or not. I have seen threads on other boards go poof for much less. It is one thing to vent and an entirely different thing to offend.
