Login Change - login with e-mail now
Tuesday as you login you will be prompted to use your e-mail address and password instead of your username and password. This change is being made for a number of reasons.
The biggest reason has to do with the forum being part of the RV Life family of sites.
Many of us have accounts at other RV Life sites, specifically campgroundreviews.com. In time you will be able to login to Forest River Forums as well as other RV Life sites where you have accounts with the same login, simplifying things substantially.
We hope to have an enhanced mobile app available as well that will allow you to read and post on multiple RV Life sites where you have registered an account if you desire, although this is not yet fully developed.
Some other reasons: - Username logins were case sensitive and often had punctuation that could be miskeyed or forgotten and has been a regular cause of login trouble.
- It's easier to remember your e-mail address then username for most folks.
- E-mail address are not visible on the forum but usernames (half of the login combo) are and so there is a little better account security.
Your username will remain unchanged and display as usual next to your posts.
If you have trouble logging in with your e-mail address instead of username there will be some prompts on the login screen to help you and a link to update your email address if needed.
Thanks in advance for your patience with these changes - we're working hard to improve security and keep the site easy to use.

Yep... I tried it this morning since it's Tuesday all day and it wasn't hot yet.
But a few minutes ago, I was presented with the new sign-in.

Janet, this change doesn't apply to the FR green app, correct?

I have a minor complaint about the new log-in, it's just a minor inconvenience. I never had to log-in as long as my computer was on and I never logged out. Many times I will have the forum open for days and refresh my browser to see the new discussions. Now I have to log in every day even when the forum has been open all night.
It's no big deal, just takes more typing to log in.

I wonder if there is a just plain "remember" box I check for myself. Older I get the more I need one of those

First time issues with imbedded links
I am unable to access data on certain links. A couple of external ones and two for from a Forum posting. As an example there is a posting advertising a for sale with an imbedded link. When I select the link I am presented with a user ID & password challenge. My correct user name (either old user name or email address) and correct password, do not work. Have attached two jpg files for review by Admins.

System is not reading cookies properly. I am logged in. Using top right box, selecting a discussion thread always starts at page 1
When reading a thread by following an email link (from FROG) we are apparently NOT logged in.

I just had to login again while I was submitting a reply to another thread. I have been on the forums since signing in earlier today between 2-2:30pm this afternoon.

An advance e-mail would have been helpful. So would a notice on the logon screen. Even a small clue such as “e-mail” instead of “user name” would have been better.
BTW, Janet H used to read “Administrator” under her user name. Now it reads “Site Team”. So who is the administrator these days?

I have same problem with all the logins I have with work stuff. Keep them on a Word Document stashed on my computer, too many to remember.
Also for the SITE TEAM--I received no prompts. When I logged in it gave me message that login or password was incorrect. Although, today is Thursday not Tuesday.

This very notice was near the top of the forum page for days. Not sure how anyone could have missed it.
