IF its under warranty they will most likely stick the same darn noisy fan right back in.
Unless they put in an updated fan it might be better off doing it yourself and saving the headache if so mechanically inclined.
These discussions always make me fear that people are replacing with a low-air-flow computer fan. These fans need to move a lot of air! Lets make that clear.
X2 Seems the newer fridges offer more cu ft storage, but the condenser needs more volume of air to keep up with the load. If its lacking the fridge can't cool properly. Rather hear the fan than have to go buy ice!
