New iPhone App Not Ready Yet
Hello Social Knowledge Dev Team,
The old clunky iPhone 3 app ran fast and worked great. The replacement app is a dog and runs slow due to all the ad content and random photo's popping up.
Not sure why we are getting a Alpha Version, I can see a Beta Version maybe to some. This app is not quite ready yet! 
FTR I have a iPhone 6S running a LTE connection or 100meg wifi. It isn't my end!
Take into consideration your users are on older technology, possibly crummy park wifi or at near there limit for the month on data cap.

if you're referring to the FR Mobile App, I have it running on an iPhone 6 plus and a Galaxy 7 Edge with no issues on both.

I was able to eliminate most of the advertising and improve performance by reentering my user ID and password after the upgrade.

The FRF app is provided by Tapatalk and we have very little ability to alter it. That said the newer version is more configurable by the members. You might try logging out and then logging back in again and checking the app settings.
If the app is not working for you you might try the mobile version of the site - no app needed... it's pretty fast and easy to use. You should see it by just navigating to the site on your device (and dismissing the prompts to download the mobile app)

Whoever coded the FRF iPhone/Pad app in TapaTalk needs to update it -- it has not been updated since 2014. It is a 32 Bit app and when iOS 11 is released later this year the FRF Tapatalk app will not run on the OS.
Even now when you load the APP, iOS tells you that the "app needs to be updated and it may slow down your iPhone/Pad"
For now the solution is to pitch the custom FRF/Tapatalk app and just use the regular tapatalk

I noticed that also, to significantly speed it up, turn off the image preview option. Touch the Horz Lines in the upper right to get to the settings, touch the settings, then touch the Image Previews to turn them off.

I got that but as soon as I signed in it was fine. Look up in right hand corner to see if it says log in?

Tapatalk is a smart device app that allows users to view contents of multiple forum sites. If you have an iPhone, for instance, you can search for it in the Apple App Store, download it and set it up to view/ post to multiple sites.

On my iPhone, I can access the Forest River Forum through the green FRF app, the orange Tapatalk app, and the full www site through a web browser (in my case, Firefox). All 3 access "this website" by 3 different means.

Personally, and just my opinion, I find Tapatalk very frustrating. It bothers me many times a day and there is no way to customise that aspect of it. I had to uninstall it. I use the web version and occasionally the FR app and thats all I need.

Not true.
You can set push notifications on/off for many different aspects or turn them off completely.
Mine only bothers me for the things I want it to.
But, use whatever you are comfortable with.
