Password

When I clean my cookies out from our computer, does is wipe my password out for the forum?
Last night and today, I have been trying to log back in no less than six or more times, there has got to be an easier way? Please give me some more specific information on how I can keep from doing this on a regular basis, this is the second time this has happened.
thanks,
kicklighter

When you clean out your cookies entirely, your password is removed from your computer so you have to re-enter the info. My suggestion is that you click the "remember me box next time you login and see if that helps. Short of that we can't help much. When you purge all cookies you are forcing the password redo on yourself. You might try selectively removing cookies next time?

Sounds like you used a unique password to the forum and forgot what you used since the computer was remembering it for you.

Happens to me all the time. Follow Janet's advice.

Remembers

It was remembering mine also right up until I cleaned the cookies out, which should not had any affect on the password! This is the second time this has happened and yes I do come up with some good passwords, but I write them down and put them on my flash...I am kind of at a loss right now..tried for eight times trying to log back in, heck I feel like and expert now!!

Hey now, I am not an expert here, just getting those things cleaned out is as good as it gets from here, selectively, your kidding right?

I hate when that happens. Jot all your p\w's down and go from there.

There are some cool tools that will store all your username and passwords on a flash drive and can call them up on demand when you log in to that site (even on a computer you never used before).

The usernames and passwords are encrypted for security.

There is also a program that generates random passwords using "rules" that you specify (like special characters).
