Pictures appear sideways or flipped

How come when I add pictures or attachments they turn sideways or upside down, I do not see a way to rotate a picture once it is uploaded. I have tried to upload them as upside down pics and they stay upside down.

Are these problem pics being initially taken with a phone? There's a reason for this question.

Yes, I use my Samsung Galaxy 6.

Ok, the reasons for the pics being sideways or flipped can be the FRF website, the camera used to take the pic, or sometimes both. There are so many different cameras, phones, etc...all with their own nuances that what works for one, may not another.

This website will explain it better than I possibly can, that also has a workaround link for this.

There are also other ways/software/programs to orient a pic so that FRF and the pic play nice with one another.

Why Your Photos Don’t Always Appear Correctly Rotated

I'm also going to move this topic into it's own thread.

Mike also explained this previously in this thread, which may help:

This is what I do when posting photos or sending them via email. Some emails recipients don't have the required software to orient the photos properly.

I put the photo on my computer, in my case an iMac. I then open the photo and rotate it 360 degrees, 90 degrees at a time. On Macs I usually use Preview for this but it seems any program that will open a photo can do this. I then save the photo. after that I can email it or upload it to this forum, Craig's list or whatever.
