I have been trying to upload a picture for my profile, but it keeps telling me I failed
Help!

Profile pictures are small pictures, which are displayed within your user profile. Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 300 by 300 pixels or 161.7 KB (whichever is smaller) for your profile pic.
Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post. Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 120 by 120 pixels or 100.0 KB (whichever is smaller).
Usually, the problem with failed uploads either for a profile pic or an avatar is the image size is too large. You will need to scale it down to the max numbers provided above, before uploading.
You can use the same pic (or different ones) for both your profile pic and/or avatar pic.

I see you have a profile pic, but not an avatar currently.
Forest River Forums - View Profile: OBX Forever
Go to the user CP tab near the top of any page and click it. Now on the left hand side there is options to edit either your profile pic or edit avatar.

(No-still no picture) I'm also having trouble with the Profile Picture - I got the picture down small but it still says "failed" - I saw your step by step instructions and I think it has worked. I am putting this reply for an experiment to see if I have a Profile Picture. Thanks for the help.

You have a profile picture (visible in your profile) of a sunset. Maybe you're trying to add an AVATAR picture which would appear in the block with your member name when you make a post. Go back to the user control panel and see the line for updating and avatar. Avatar and profile pictures are two different things.
Read every post from the top of this thread to more more details.

Picture?
Our profile pic is within the size limits, but we too keep getting the message that it failed to upload. Heavy sigh.

You have a profile picture of a couple wherein the man is wearing a hat and a beard. I assume you're confusing your profile picture with your avatar picture. They can be the same photo but they are loaded by different forum control panel functions. Read all posts in this thread especially #6 and you'll get more instructions.
