Although this is a closed thread, the site team is going to add another post to this one, which we keep as a sticky. This is also to serve as a reminder for the longer term members as well as the newer ones who may not be fully aware of why we do not allow political, religious or gun related comments/posts.
This forum is a friendly DIY place for everyone to get help or to help others. There are certain flashpoint topics that actually will bring to a dead halt the friendly community atmosphere...along with the information gained/received. The above three are some of these topics, but there can be others too.
The vast majority of the members here do not want to read or be involved in the arguments these comments/posts devolve into. As a site team, we WILL remove them... which brings up the next point.
As a site team, our main task is to insure that topics/threads are kept friendly, helpful...and going forward. By going forward, this means that more useful information/knowledge is being gleaned. Once it becomes obvious that the thread is just venting or becoming an argument between a few...then we will close it. Please keep in mind that you certainly can have a different opinion on things, but it's HOW you express this difference that is key to your post being kept in place.
The site guidelines fully explain this, and what you shouldn't do. These guidelines are based on many years of experience. These forums are all about respect and being friendly....and that's why it's the destination of so many.
As a site team, we will continue to do our part and keep these forums friendly, respectful, and a good place for RV'ers to gain/share knowledge. We also ask our great community for their help in this, so we can all keep moving forward. If you feel emotional or passionate about something you read here, please try and take a step back before responding, to make sure you are actually helping, and not hurting the thread/community.
Thank You
