Signature picture

I want to delete my current signature picture and install a new one. When I try to do it, I get a message that tells me I can't delete my signature picture while it is in use. OK, so how do I get it out of use so that I can delete it?

To be clear, did you click on User CP at the top, then Edit Signature, then click the box that says "Delete image"?

BTW, I moved your thread to http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f185/ for questions about user accounts.

Just to make sure we got it

1. Go to your user CP using the full site (not the mobile app)
2. Click on edit signature on the left hand menu (see pic below)
3. Check the box to delete current image (see pic below)
4. Click Save signature

5. Start the process again in step #1 and step #2
6. This time use the "upload signature pic" options to find the pic you want to use on your computer and upload the same using the boxes provided.
7. Click Save signature.

Mr. Dan, I did exactly what you suggested but the picture just won't go away. I never got to adding a new picture because the drop down box told me I could not delete the picture while it was in use (whatever that means).

I can wipe it off for you. You are definitely talking about this pic below?

Kdot, what browser are you using? Is there a possibility you are accessing your User Control Panel in another browser tab or another browser window? Uncle Gene once had 20 browser tabs open of which he was not aware. I'm thinking out loud here since I've never seen/heard of this issue.

OK, I'm going to go ahead and use this as an example for others who may read this later on.

Sig pics can be no larger than 468 width X 60 height px size or 19.5kb. This means it's better to have pics that are wider than taller for the sig pic, so that the pic doesn't take up many lines of the signature space allowance (hence the 60 px height size)

The OP's original pic was actually taller than wider, so when you scale it down to fit the parameters, you would get this:

Name:   sigpic1.jpg
Views: 187
Size: 44.9 KB

So, as you can see, it makes the pic almost too hard to see any important detail keeping it to a 60px height..

However, I cropped the pic, taking out the unneccessary top and bottom extra which also now made the pic wider than taller as it should be, and got this

Name:   sigpic2.jpg
Views: 191
Size: 53.1 KB

If this is what you like, I'll add it back to your sigline.

EDIT: I did go ahead and add it, but can take it back off.
