All is working fine here. I actually thought about not responding because I'm sure I will have problems now.

I wonder if it is regional, or if it's by ISP (Knology, Centurytel, Roadrunner, etc...) or if it is by operating system (XP, Vista, W7, Apple, Ubuntu, etc...) or if it is something else.

Microsoft had pushed a multitude of updates within the past week. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

same issue here, could it be an update that caused the issue?

Okay,I'm not on the Moderator or Admin team, but it might be helpful if those of you who have this problem report the following items:
Operating system
Internet Service Provider
Browser

I'm not having the problem, but my info is:
Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service pack 3
Knology
Firefox 6.0.2

Admins, good luck figuring it out. I'm curious to learn the cause.

Still having the same problem. Tried the work computer today. Different provider and operating system. Both computers are up to date and working fine otherwise.

Home Comp.
Windows 7
Century Link

Some good ideas, guys. This ought to narrow things down.

tcoop48, I have the similar setup that you do. Windows 7 (Professional) and Century Link. I usually use Google Chrome, but I tried out Explorer and that worked OK here.

I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but do you guys hit "remember me" when signing on ?? Of course if you are using a shared computer, you don't want that option, but it should be OK at home.

Still having the same problem. Tried logging out and back in, once without checking the "remember me" box and then checking the box with no change in results. Good to see its changing for some. I will give it a few more days and if nothing changes i will try a "system restore" to before the problem started or maybe try deleting my account and starting over.

I find I have issues when I try to use IE's history to get here. If I type in "fore" it then shows me this site, and when I click on it I get the problems that others were talking about.

I have since added a Favorite of "http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums" and that brings me in with none of the issues.

Clear your browser cache and see if that fixes it.

In Firefox go to tools/options/privacy and click the link that clears the cache.

In IE go to tools and either click on "Delete Browsing History" or click on "Internet Options" and then go to the general tab and click the button that says "Delete..." (it's right in the middle of the window).

Interesting change of events now. i did a system restore in which along with all the other fixes i've tried didnt work. So i set out in going thru all my settings for this site and found that when i change the view style from the current setting of "master sk style" (whatever that stands for) to "forest river style" everything displays properly. So that makes me wonder if there is a problem within the site somewhere. Either way that brings things somewhat back to normal, even though i do like the master sk style better, i will now be able to go back to enjoying browsing the site without having to look at a bunch of little boxes with "x's" in the middle.

Glad you got it figured out. We will have to try to remember this in case members have the same problem in the future.

I'm the sort of person that I'm glad you got it fixed, but for me there is still an unturned stone. There were several people who had an issue and it doesn't seem like any of us really know the true cause. Curious. Curious. Still I'm glad you can browse without red x's.

I agree with you. I always prefer answers to the problems but it doesnt always work out that way. Maybe some day that answer will turn up until then i will be satisfied with the current results.

Thumbs up

Well, I haven't done anything to the computer at all, and it's fine now - so it's still a mystery!!! I'm happy to think it's not my computer - phew.
