I get the same thing OC does. I've seen it on (IIRC) show your hounds and post up your towing pics, just about any photo content thread title.
naggervatin' but doable

I guess the only answer is when you find one, just avoid them. All we get is "there must be something wrong with your computer or give us all the information". Nothing happens to correct it!

It's only been a couple days- give 'em time...
I haven't got a clue what's wrong but I've seen extra large photos here
on rare occasion.
The tp thread does not do it for me. In fact when I click the photo to
get a larger one it shows up the same size or even slightly smaller.
I have a very high screen resolution on my PC.
Have not tried it on the laptop.
Like Janet said, if you encounter a post with large photos that need to
be scrolled to view- hit the report button and give 'em time to try and
figure it out.
I use an ad blocker so there are no ads in FRF when I view it. That -might- make a difference I don't know.....

KyDan, it's been going on for months and has been reported previously. We'll just deal with it.

So it is OK to hit the report button - I was afraid to do that, thinking it would send a complaint rather than point out a problem.
And, I think OC & Weezer have a point - I have noticed it as well for several months but usually only on posts that have 2-3 photos attached and *only* on my office Windows machine, never on my iPad or MacBook Pro (which uses safari & has a ad-blocker).
From what I have read over the past couple of days, I think this is a Windows+IE specific issue.
(OC & Weezer - you could test this by downloading Chrome and seeing if it replicates...my guess is it will not )
Bonus...I think you will like Chrome - IMHO it is much better than IE!

IF you see a post where you have to scroll to see the entire picture,
hit the report button and tell them the photo(s) are too large and
you have to scroll to see the entire thing.
It might help if you can also include your browser and operating system.
Personally I don't know how in the heck anyone can keep a site like this
working with all the new devices they are trying to be compatible with....
Off to do some trail maintenance in a local park.
As Mr Rogers used to say- "it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood"!
Have a great day!

NO THANKS. You couldn't PAY me to use *any* google product. I refuse to even use google as a search engine.
Just my preference. I have my reasons.
If changing to google is the only "fix" , I'll just do as OC says; just put up with it. (shrug) it's been going on for months...not like it's something new so... (shrug)

Don't like Chrome or Firefox and it's not worth it to me. When I run into it, I will just ignore the thread. Shouldn't have to change anything.

KyDan,
It's about personal preferences. I refuse to use google chroney and dislike firefox (actually dislike is a mild adjective...tried it, detest it). As far as I'm concerned, I agree with OC. If the "fix" requires that I change my computer preferences/browser, well then....
It is what it is. (shrug)

Being the old foggy that I am, all suggestions to change anything but what is wrong will fall on deaf ears. Something is messed up and IT AIN'T MY COMPUTERS!!!

You're right- the issue is with the HTML and CSS coding for the site. IE is a nightmare for developers, but supporting it is a necessary evil. That said, it's a 1,000 times easier to say that than to do it. In fact, I'm facing a similar problem with one of my client's sites - it works fine in Chrome, Firefox and Safari but *some* versions of IE are problematic. Worse yet, it's not my specialty and I can't find a designer to take on the work.
No matter what- since this post has been raised up to the Site Team, I'm sure that they'll look into it and see what can be done. Being given the information of the browser version and computer system makes a world of difference in diagnosing and resolving the issues.
As it is- this is the first that I've seen this issue raised.

Just a reminder to follow Dan's suggestion about including browser and operating system when reporting a picture problem. Hopefully with that type of information, the tech guys can get the problem narrowed down and fix it.
