WHY?

95% of the threads with pictures are viewed at page width and the other 5% require scrolling from side to side. Why is this? Can it be fixed?

It is the way the owners of the board have set up the VB software.
It can be configured many ways for attachments.
So the simple answer is yes it can. The long answer is you have to know the software PRETTY DANG WELL to be able to find the settings to change it.

I'd either report the post that you have to scroll or copy and past the link to the "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page (in fact, I'd likely do the latter as this is above the moderators pay grade).

If you are seeing images so large that scrolling is required, somethings broken - please report these posts so we can fix the issue

Interesting. If you know and can post the following information:
- what Internet browser you're using,
- what kind of computer it is (Mac, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Windows 7, Windows 8, etc.)
- possibly even your screen resolution (if you know it)

Uploading a screenshot helps too (for PC users, press Alt+PrtScrn and then save that in a graphics program).

For instance, I'm using Google Chrome (latest version), Windows 7, and a very high resolution (1440 x 900). I don't see scrollbars.

Name:	Screenshot.jpg
Views:	212
Size:	67.6 KB
ID:	50778

It could be certain browsers and/or screen resolutions that the scrollbars appear.

Page 2 of your thread is fine, page 1 is one of the culprits. All viewed with the same computer, Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 Home edition resolution 1366 x 768

Looks good to me in Firefox. The pics are not that big as far as resolution is concerned. I bet some browsers are trying to put the pics next to each other and not stacking them. That has to be the reason but a screenshot from Old Coot will tell the tale.

On my classified I used windows 7. Browser is explorer. I loaded all the pics at once and assumed that's why they loaded the way that they did.

Think you are on to it Ependydad.
It scrolls on my windows machine (IE) but not on my iPad (using Safari not the FRF App)

Coot, I can't click on your image and view it larger. Are you using Internet Explorer?

Don't know a TOWATA, but the board is still kindling. I don't make threats, but, I always get even and guess what? It's MY TURN!

I get scroll bars on page 1 of the science fair thread.

HP 2000 Notebook PC, Windows 8.1. Internet Explorer, screen resolution: "1366 x 768 (recommended)."

It's been the same on more than just Ependy's thread. Just started happening the last 4 or 5 months. It's the multiple pictures are posting horizontal instead of vertical.
