Wow I can’t tell if I’m more envious of 365 nights or $20 average per night. Either way I’m not even in the same ballpark on either duration or cost.

Good on you for sure.

The $20/night cost comes down to extensive use of Thousand Trails and moochdocking.

We camped 74 nights at 29 different locations. I have no idea of the average cost.

I usually do 60 days a year, mostly staying with friends. This year we did a second trip of 7 weeks to the Western states, staying at RV parks. Average about $40 a night for nice sites.

Got to see a lot of red rock......

We camped over 110 nights but have no idea of the average cost. Got to see a lot of friends and some nice places. Ready to start the 2019 season mid January at Lazy Days in Seffner, FL, then off to the Daytona 500 for a week in February

This was our first full year of RV ownership. Counting our upcoming trip to the Fort, we camped 55 nights in 11 different places. I'm pretty sure that before we bought the RV we never came close to having this many vacations in a year.

Just checking, did you include annual fees (if applicable) for membership campgrounds in your avg cost?

We did 82 nights this year. Breakdown as follows:

37% nights in State parks (Spring//fall/winter) (avg cost 21/night)
33% nights in COE (summer, lake/boating) (avg cost 26/night)
23% nights in Private (long trip to Colorado) (avg cost 37/night)

weighted avg cost $27/night

The cost subtotals for each park were roughly equal due to the private park costs are disproportionately higher.

Yes, I have the following “extras” included:
- Thousand Trails Membership ($425)
- Trails Collection upgrade ($200)
- Harvest Hosts Membership ($40-ish)
- Passport America ($40-ish)
- Cancellation fee at Buccaneer State Park
- Cancellation fee somewhere else

Sadly, I got zero use out of the Harvest Hosts and Passport America this year.

Full time for third year in one site, but take vacations. Our full time site is $12.50 per night for full hook up. Vacationed 30 nights at $75 per night.

70 days, 8500 miles, 42 days boondocking.

Average cost for campground $28.

Getting an earlier start on 2019, leaving on a roughly 3,000 mile trip on New Years Day, returning first week of February.

1st yr with the 5th wheel. We did 75 nights, 7 states, Canada and something like 8,000 miles. Would have made 100 nights, if not for the traffic accident in September that took us out for the balance of the year.

A little jealous of all the camping nights, I'm ok if we get at least a month total a year, looks like we should get to my goal, leaving Tuesday for one last run this year.

First year for us.

13 states. 63 nights. 10,000 miles.

Still can’t back up for squat. Surprisingly, others volunteer.

Our first long trip we had no reservations. Wife, is really good at finding spots.

We really like the more primitive spots without sewers. COE, state parks. 30 amp service is no issue. We chose our fiver well.

We are in a high end fancy place in Houston visiting the grand baby this week.
