android/hotspots on the road

If you use your phone to create a wifi hotspot using pdanet/foxfi, you should check it out before you download the new upgrade Nougat 7.0 on your phone. It stops foxfi from working. I downloaded it today and then found out the bad news. Not sure where this should be posted. Here is a link to some info. Android 7.0 "Nougat" Killed FoxFi HotSpot - How to Use USB Tethering

If you already pay for unlimited data on your phone you should call your carrier and threaten to call the fcc on them claiming net neutrality does not allow them to charge you more for hotspot than regular data and they are billing you twice for the same data.

It will work with some carriers and they just turn on hotspot for free.

If not you are out nothing and if so problem solved.
