Bicycle racks

Looking for the pros/cons on bicycle racks for transporting bicycles with our 2017 Sunseeker 2290s.
1) hitch receiver rack that will hold 3 bikes or
2) a rack to utilize the RV's ladder
The 2290s has rear storage but 3 bikes taking up the cargo space is not what I want. I have concerns with the weight of the bikes on the ladder if I was the go that direction. And given a choice I would like to be able to put some type of cover around the bikes.

Appreciate any input-thanks!

My old butt would last about 2 seconds on that seat! Ouch.

Swagman XC2

We just took a trip with our Swagman XC2 (no toad) with 2 bikes. I called Swagman and asked which one they recommended for back of rv. This was it. I think the Traveller XC2 is for use with toad. They stayed secure the whole time.

Bicycle racks

Amazing how fast the body adjusts to these seats. I bought the padded shorts. Now almost never wear them. 18 miles on the last ride.

I was admiring something similar the other day at the store. As someone who has a regular ole mountain bike with typical tires, I was wondering what the advantages are of having tires that fat? Is it a better ride?

I went from a full suspension bike to this fat boy.
I still ride the mtn bike, but this bike is more.. fun? Better for casual trail rides.
Swallows up ruts roots and rocks.
Extends my riding season into the snow.
More control when pulling two kids in the trailer on trails.
Most are quite heavy, but this one is aluminum frame with a carbon fork.
Very light.

Nice. Maybe I'll get the chance to ride one someday. Looks like it'd be fun.

Having only had our Forester just over a month, last week I had an appointment to have some windows tinted. I desided not to wait around at the tint shop, and thought I would bring my bike, and cycle over to the gym.

Grabbed the bike rack off the Jeep, onto the class C it went, bike securely attached, and I headed to the tint shop. I pulled into the business, headed up a very slight driveway into the shop and......loud scrapping noise.

The bottom on the bike rack was dug into the blacktop ! Tint shop owner and I used boards under my wheels to raise the rear end enough to remove the hitch.

My bike rack was ordered through a Jeep parts company and extends a little further back to avoid the larger off road rear mounted tire. It is also has the drop down design to allow access to the rear of the Jeep.

With the low rear end of the class C, and afterwards just looking at it (bike rack on C ) I should have known better .....LOL. No damage.......lesson learned !
