Campgrounds around Texarkana south

Just got a call from Texas parks and Rec. Seems the rain has gotten all the lakes around Texarkana flooded out and closed till at least June 9th. Canceling our reservations at Atlanta state park. Our grandson graduation is the weekend before, looking for any recommendations in that area on a campsite or RV park.

Sorry. I have no experience with parks east of Sherman and south of Beavers Bend SP in southeast OK. Have you checked there?

No I have not, trying to stay south of Texarkana because Grandson lives about an hour south of there. Seems all parks with any type of water feature will be affected by floods. Finding info on the mom and pop Rv parks in area with reviews has been challenging. Heading to texoma after the graduation. Thank you for info though.

We've stayed at the 4 states fairgrounds RV park a few times. On the Southside. Nothing fancy, but full hook ups, and cheap. If I remember it's manned by local lions club as a fundraiser. You can see more by googling 4states fairgrounds texarkana.

I've stayed at Rocky Point, and Clear Springs, both COE's, and both on the east side of Wright Patman. I would figure they are closed too but don't know that for sure.

There are a few private campgrounds along TX 59 just south of Texarkana, in the lake area but well above it. You might call Wright Pat COE about Piney Point. It is pretty high and at least partly open.

Check out Shady Pines Campground on the west side of Texarkana, Texas. We stayed there in January on our way to the Texas Hill Country and went out of if way to stay there on our way home in March. All sites are concrete and most are drive through. There is city water and great TV reception from your antenna. The campground is literally next door to an RV dealer. Definitely check them out.

Shady Pines

Ditto on Shady Pines, we've stayed there for several years on our way to and from south Texas.
