We just returned from Maine and Canada. Had some great sites at King Neptune close to Peggy's Cove and at Old Shipyard Campground on the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick.

Oops sorry, I was busy at a campfire tonight drinking Margaritas and I forgot to mention why we have to leave on Friday. Our campsite will be flooded by the weekend. Oh well, SIL at a COE campground during years of heavy rains. We have been having fun with family here at Carlyle.

Our next trip will be to a COE at Rend Lake and we will be on high ground so there will be no chance of getting booted out of our site.

Now that is a great site. You even have the sound of the water in a rushing stream.

Beautiful! Did you get to watch the tide? I hear it has the highest tides anywhere! Is that correct!

Double OH OH, there is an eviction notice taped to our door. We have to get out of the site by Friday. The good news is we were scheduled to leave on Friday anyway.

Trouble Maker! At least they gave you a few days before they kicked ya out! JK. Very nice spot (again). You sure do get to some cool places. Same goes for the other posters.

That's what I thought! (It was the one I was thinking of.) We love it there! Especially since our pups can swim, too.

Darlene and family in Florida

Darlene;

You always have the best spots there in Florida, and get to start the season early! I'm sold! Now to let DH know we're moving and pack up both sets of parents! LOL We don't have kids, we have parents!

I didn't even know about it. It would be great to see you again but we already have reservations at South Marcum on Rend Lake for the Art and Wine Festival the last week of September.

Haha, thanks! If it helps you feel any better, we are in "hibernation" mode and won't be camping again until October. Weather is too unpredictable in summer. We have these pesky things called tropical storms.

In fact, in those Beverly Beach pics above, a tropical storm was forming off the coast while we were there. Makes for interesting times.
