First snow in Shenandoah Valley on Christmas Eve

The weather forecasters were wrong, we had snow on Christmas eve, a snow scene for Christmas and more snow for today.
This short video was done playing around with a hand held high speed video camera and our Christmas greeting at the end. Enjoy winter camping.

I traveled to the Page Valley (part of the Shenandoah Valley) on Monday, and that area had a good dusting of snow. But we had a bit of trouble getting there from the east side of the Blue Ridge......Swift Run Gap was a mess.

The ground is white here just north of Charlottesville, and I understand the valley is in for 2 to 4" of new snow.

well, at least that big pete and dodge calibur drivers were nice enough to stop that white suv driver from having what could have been a really bad day.

Nasty out there if you're traveling, but we're snug at the campground.
