It's a tradition at our CG every fall. The recipe we use calls for equal parts of cider and apple juice and brown and white sugar.
We jar it in mason jars, of course. It really does taste like apple pie!

No clue. We're still trying to hammer out our summer travel plans. As of now, we might be headed to northern Ohio in August, so it could work.

OK, back to the Apple Pie. After it has cooled down how are you to store it? Mason Jars? Andy sealed container? Does it need to be kept refrigerated? Or stored on the shelf at room temp?

Definitely store it in a glass container and refrigeration is not necessary. As they said on "Moonshiners" the other night....it takes about 7 years for the "shine" to eat through a Mason Jar lid....but the liquor is still good....

We pour it back into the cider and apple juice jugs - both plastic. We do keep it refrigerated. No idea how long it keeps, it rarely makes a couple of weeks or a month around here (we make it for parties/gatherings).
