I bought the TT so it would help my wife get out of her funk and enjoy life again.My wife is handicapped and I have more injuries than Snickers has peanuts.So if your older and have problems SLOW DOWN.....that's all.Who cares how long it takes to get there and set up......the goal is get there safely and have fun.

Captain Perry, I agree. My experience is that there are a lot of "pro" campers out there...I've been blessed by their help when needed as I often travel alone (hubs dislikes camping, his idea of a vacation is holing up at hotel/motel...NOT!!!)
I also agree: your as young as you feel. I'm slower than I used to be, but I get the job done.
I've always tent camped, but recently decided that a real bed, off the ground, and a solid roof over my head were priorities.
3 yrs ago, I acquired an old (1979) Chinook MH from my uncle...while it met my requirements, I didn't like being tied to the campsite.
I am now the proud owner of an RPod 172 (expandable) and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything about it (except the huge AC unit I was pressured into getting, which is just way too noisy - I'd rather be hot (or cold) then listen to that thing!!! Ugh) It took the better half of the first season out to master hooking up and backing up by myself, but that's were the "pros" came to the rescue. Now I can do all of it, all by myself - even putting on the Dome!
This year I'm going on my first solo 'long distance' camping trip ... to the Goshen Rally - I'm really excited!!!
My career/job is flexible, so I don't plan on retirement any time soon...besides, if I didn't have something to do outside of the home, I'd go crazy!

I'll be 75 in Jul, TOWTA 74 in Aug. My dad passed @ 88 and grandpa @ 98, so I hope to get in another year or two. Health is good with one stint. My biggest problem is having a major case of laziness and not doing anything.
