We use a concentrated peppermint oil on an old t-shirt and I secure it in the under belly of the trailer. It works very well. We had mice tried just about everything couldn't get rid of them, tried this peppermint oil and they packed up and left. It been a year and I apply it once a month.

Of late, ours is sort of the "Escape Pod." If we score overlapping days off work, we try to get out to "somewhere." So we keep it fully ready with plenty of clean clothes, fresh and extra bedding, dry / staple foodstuffs, plenty of distilled water for coffee brewing, etc. The bottom drawer of the fridge in the house, is everything to "prime" the fridge in the trailer ... condiments, etc. so that part is a grab-and-go. We also keep ice cream, ice cubs and frozen coffee ice cubes in the deep freeze, again for grab-and-go. Sits in the driveway powered during "on" seasons.
