That’s got to be Ludington State Park in the Beechwood loop?
We’re at Ponchos Pond [emoji106]

We spent a week at the Thousand Trails Orlando campground. We had scoped out a site with good shade. Friends had actually been on it and we went to their place for dinner one night. Fortunately it was open when we rolled in on Sunday.
The tree behind and beside us kept us nicely shaded almost all day:
To get onto the "cement" pad, we had to back up as far as possible. I had my wife and daughter both watching this tree to get us to snug back up to it. It's either as close or closer than it looks, depending on your persuasion. I actually ended up doing a little bit of tree trimming of dead branches after we were setup.
The kids were excited to go up on the roof with me.
Our second nice shade tree:
We had friends over for a camp fire (for a scavenger hunt). It was freaking hot and short-lived.

We are back at Tropical Palms for 2 weeks. The site we're on slopes to the front a bit and it's a little more exposed than last time. But we still get decent shade. Can't extend the rear awning fully, it hits the tree about 1-2' before fully being extended.
Given the temperatures, my son and I have hit the pool about every other or every 3rd day.
Unfortunately, it's bath tub warm and not as refreshing as I'd like.

I was happy to see it. We camped here last year and they didn’t have them...now all the sites have them.
FWIW this is the DW’s favorite local place and site. I booked in January

I absolutely love the spruce trees. Hmmm maybe that’s a fir of some sort. My favorite. I planted this one and I kept it about 3 1/2 years before SW AR killed it....well or me.

I lied....after looking around only about half the sites have an awning. Maybe they aren’t finished.

Recent tour around Ontario
Just a couple of quick shots.....we’re in between packing from this trip for our next trip leaving in 8 days to Canadian Maritimes followed by FROG International Rally, followed by Northern Ontario Great Lakes circle.
First photo is Laurel Creek Conservation area outside Waterloo Ontario and St Jacobs Market. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere.
The second one is a shot of our nearest neighbours at Point Farms Provincial Park near Goderich Ontario. See? Just past the power pedestal?
Third one is Bass Lake Provincial just outside Orillia Ontario....just a few days before Mick and the Stones played their only Canadian stop 15 minutes down the road. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere again. Sorry it’s upside down.

Nice pictures, Ken. What sites were you on at those 3 campgrounds? Are they big enough to fit my 35' 5er with slides on both sides?
