The plant has a wide open field with a lot of RV sites, electric only, but a fresh water hose pipe is near the entrance so folks can fill their water tanks.

I wonder how many people hesitate to fill their fresh water tanks at a sewage treatment plant

Even if it was the purest spring water in the country there still lingers the thought----------

Let's see those 2019 campsites!

No campsite picture yet. It is dark. But, how about this forecast for tonight? We are in Boone, NC

Two of the three slides are pulled in as the wind is giving us the rock and roll of a lifetime.

Made it through the night no problem but did burn a lot of propane. Still very cool but we did get some very welcomed sun. Nice RV site at the KOA here. Another cool and windy night tonight but no where near the howling wind we had last night. Click image for larger version

Could be worse...
Just up the road here in PA we've had sustained winds of 40 MPH+ and gusts to 60 MPH. Low last night was 30º and supposed to be 29º with snow tonight.

Power has been out since 4:00 AM in the town closest to me.
School cancelled.

Man, I've always been amazed at how different western PA is to central PA (York) where I grew up. Y'all always had worse weather than we did!

Yep, Somerset County, we're sitting right on top of the mountains at the highest point in all of PA.

It's 36° as I type this!

It's our first Thousand Trails, but from research it's like many others.

It is large, with a lot of the units stacked up like dominos, but they all have some grass between them at least.

Surrounded by lots of trees and the river, deer everywhere all day and night. Lots of activities.

Peacefully quiet too- away from the freeways and city noises. Plenty of stars last night (although you could detect the light pollution on the horizon from Houston and the area)

We will return.

Nice.

If you're going to camp with a hybrid this late in the season I recommend that you get some PopUp Gizmos. They keep the heat in better and reduce if not eliminate condensation on the underside of the tenting.

Last two nights were at KOA. An RV Park. Now we are at a campground! Bear Den Campground near Spruce Pine, NC for two nights. Very tight, curvey, dirt road coming in. I may not have needed it, but I did use 4wd.

You know the difference between an RV Park and a Campground, right?

Its whether or not I can pee outside!

This is where we were "put" at the Seal Rock Cove RV Park near Seal Rock, Oregon. We could see the ocean from this site if we had had a front window.
We had stayed there before, had nice level sites but this time they told us
that was the only site they had for our length.

It took all the tongue jack had to get us to almost level. Twenty feet of sewer hose was not enough, with the slope we were almost level with the connection.
Needless to say we didn't bother to hook up that.

Had a reservation for four nights but decided with the steep site we left after three nights.

Had a nice neighbor across the drive from us from SC, his 56 Chev in the picture with a new camper.
