Just got back from a relaxing weekend at Peak One Campground in Frisco, Colorado. We tend to like dispersed camping more than campgrounds - but this is one of our favorites. And we were able to mountain bike from our campsite on some of the trails on the peninsula, and to/from town. We also got to ski while we were there since A-Basin is still open for business on weekends! Site 70, right near the bike trails.

Spent last weekend at Illinois Beach State Park. Just 20 minutes from the house makes it a easy "go to" for us at the last minute when the weather decides to clear up!

This past week at Long Point State Park (NY) on Chaumont Bay (NE Lake Ontario). Part of the park is flooded (mainly non-electric sites) and the water is only about 60F. Boat launch was fairly active although docks are not yet in. Crossing the isthmus (between Ontario and Bay) went OK as the winds were fairly calm when we crossed. Park has its own water filtration system which is inactive due to the flooding, so nothing is potable, but is OK for bathing.

Great pics. We were there over Easter. A little wet then and the lake was high. Enjoy your stay next weekend. We thought about doing the gas saver but it’s a 2+ hour drive for us.

Gamble Rogers State Park, Flagler Beach, FL

Made the most of a great site reserved 11 months in advance in between the torrential downpours & flat tires (on another thread) at Gamble Rogers State Park in Flagler Beach, FL. Beautiful beach, great little town, good food & breweries nearby. No luck fishing or crossing paths with egg laying / hatching sea turtles on this trip. The panorama shot has our trailer on the far left, Atlantic ocean on the right & I did snag some beautiful sunrises with plenty of pelicans & dolphins to watch.

Here's our campsites from last week: 5/31~6/2 at High Falls SP, 6/2~6/5 at Cloudland Canyon SP & 6/5~6/7 at Amicalola Falls SP. I must say that GA does take care of their state parks. We've been to 5 or 6 of GA's parks and they're all clean, have friendly staff and nice sites.

We're setup at Tropical Palms in Kissimmee, FL. We are using the "Trails Collection" program of Thousand Trails to be here for $0/night. The catch is they don't promise you a sewer site. If you get here and there's space available, then you can request one. Fortunately, the summer is super slow and there are a ton of spots open.

We have beautiful tree coverage and have shade all day long! It sure helps as the temps have been regularly reaching the mid-90s.

I agree. Pinellas county have been very lucky in the past. Some people believe it is because of Indian burial grounds. Me I think we are just lucky.

Kind of reminds me of Temoka St Park where we stayed in April last year.

Mike, we had reserved sites 4 and 5 there and Recreation.gov sent me an email cancelling our reservations, due to "public safety concerns".
The DW's family had camped there for years and we are trying to rekindle the tradition. Tried talking to the National Forest staff about why but no one would return my messages.
SIL drove up there and said the road was so bad, she wouldn't take her TT up there.
Can you give me some feedback as I see you got yours up there?
Thanx.
