[QUOTE=grubbster;635273]Nope, no hookups. You can see my generator in the picture. Beautiful place and I highly recommend it. Here is a shot from today at the KY Horse Park. They are having a Bluegrass festival this weekend.
Grubbster,
Where are you from?
This was our spot at the KY Horse Park two weeks ago. Our sticks and bricks is only about 6m away. Still feels like I'm on vacation and there is always something going on at the Horse Park.
This particular weekend it was just me and the DW...test run for when the time comes and the younger one is doing his own thing and we are part timing!

We live in Danville. Horse Park is one of our favorite weekend places because of the distance. We like to get over in the field to get away from the crowds. Didn't work last weekend because there were lots of people everywhere because of the music festival. Your pics look like you were in the back part of the loop. Those are our favorite sites because they are deep with no one behind you.

Check it out if your in that region. Campground is right next to an amusement park, Holiday World & Splashin Safari. Fun times and awesome coasters. Very family oriented.🎅

Went there with friends two years ago for Memorial Day weekend. Great water park..about the best I've seen, including Disney. Amusement park is ok. Free parking, sunscreen and soda drinks and as stated...very family friendly. I was a little underwhelmed with the campground. I do have a large RV and the site was hard to get into. Seemed like they need a few upgrades to make it more "big rig" friendly. I did see where a large RV park conglomerate it taking ownership of the campground. Not sure what that will mean for Camp Rudolf.
The only other negative is the location. In the middle of nowhere and then some . It is the only attraction other than the endless corn fields. We did enjoy our stay and will return in the future.

Yes, in the outer loop. There were two horse events that weekend with an Arabian show and separate national hunter/jumper completion. Big stables and individual competitors from all over the country. We love riding our bikes into the Horse Park to see the events.
My son is in Danville this week for swim camp at Centre College. I used to come there one day a week with my previous job. I love Danville and the people. Great place to raise a family. I sure wish there was a good RV campground at Perryville.

The DW is holding the new kitten who is about six months old now ...our 8yr old black lab mix was not in the pic as she was back under the shade tree watching the horses. It's funny...the DW has a harness and leash for the cat...takes her on walks with the dog and yes, we get plenty of looks and comments.

How did you like the KY Horse Park camp ground? We are headed that way this weekend for a week long stay. My oldest daughter is a horse freak and is so excited.
Do all the camp sites have electric and water? I'm seeing conflicting information on the web about whether or not they have water hook ups.
Thanks

These were taken on Fathers Day week-end at Smokey Hollow Campground in Lodi WI. Great campground with lots to do.

The Horse Park is a nice place. All the campsites (257) on the loops have water and electric. There are a few sites (maybe 20) between the two dump stations that have electric only. And they also have a large field (maybe 60 acres?) where you can camp with no hookups. That is where we usually go because it is not normally crowded.

This is my lake lot that we have been working on for the last year or so. Goose Creek Lake, French Village, MO
I love it here. If I didnt have to work, I'd stay here forever.

It is our "home" park. So close to our house with large sites, mostly shaded and the beauty of the Horse Park. Your daughter will love it. Take your bikes and ride over into the stable and event completion areas. There are numerous open fields with jumps and there seems to always be an event or completion. Check the events calendar at the Horse Park to see what's happening this weekend. I always reserve the water/electric sites, the vast majority of them are. I have talked to management a couple of times about installing full hook up (sewer sites). He did say they are supposed to add that on the outer loops but each year when it comes up the funds are diverted elsewhere in the Park. Did you reserve a site? I checked the web site and it looks to be full over the weekend and few spots open during the week. They do have electric sites only that do not show on the reservation page and a large primitive camping area where you can boondock.

We just returned from our maiden voyage in our 2015 23ikss. Yes, we had a glorious time.
After 8 years with a 2007 Pop Up Niagara, I could never back in. I tried and tried. Even driving 34 days across the U.S. one summer I would have to ask strangers to help me get to my site. Yes, I would put my hand on the bottom of the steering wheel and turn it the same direction I wanted the back of the pop up to go. It never worked! As a math teacher, this would make me so mad because I know I should be able to.
Now I have a 23ikss. I backed it into this long driveway (pictured below) with no problem. When I got back home, I backed it in our curvy, long, downhill driveway, too!! All I can say is "two axles are better than one!"
(Patting myself on the back)
