ONE OF MY 2014 Camp Sites
After the "FROG" Rally, we decided to go to Mackinaw City to the Mackinaw Mill Creek RV (campground) park for five days.
Sorry Bob that we got the jump on you for the up coming Rally to the same area. The weather was great there, we even had to turn on the heat for a couple of mornings.
We enjoyed a day trip to Petoskey, MI by a way of the "Tunnel of Trees" that runs along the cost (HWY 119). What a view of Lake Michigan during the drive. Ladies, you have to visit the historical city of Petoskey.
Also a visit to White Fish Point, MI to the "Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum". A discount with a AAA card for the visit is well worth it.
The first Picture is a view of Lake Huron from in front of our camp site #133. If you look close you can see Mackinac Island.
The second Picture if you look close you can see the RESORT HOTEL
on the Island.
The third picture is our "ROCKY" on #133.
The fourth picture is of the Mackinac Bridge (5 miles long) that goes from
LP to UP (lower peninsula to upper peninsula)
By the way, the nearest decent grocery store is a Walmart in Cheboygan down Hwy 23 (same hwy as Camp Ground) for 15 miles.
The rally in October should be fantastic and a great time to visit the area.
The rally was posted after we were there. If we had known we would have
signed up for the rally, sorry Bob!

This is the RV park at Teslin, YT. It faces Teslin Lake, and is a very nice park with level pads. There is a good restaurant there, as well as a gas station and a wildlife museum. The scenery there is stunning. The airport is one of the old ALCAN Highway airports from WWII.
