I'm guessing the main reason is cost. Huge structure cost for elevated ramps or additional right of way (land is golden here) for added lanes. They did all this within existing right of way area.

They have them in other areas of the country and they supposedly work well. It's one thing if you deal with one in your everyday commute, but grandma from Kansas coming through with the motor home pulling a toad, yeah, there's gonna be some headlines....

Versailles State Park, Indiana. This is Site 122 and we also had Site 123, to the left of the picture, where our friends in tents set up.

The wide open spaces in the pull-through section of Hershey Park Camping Resort. This picture makes the site look bigger than it actually was. No campfire all week out of concern for our neighbors RV safety.

KDHFan, hershey pull through sites are some of the smallest i have seen. we love that park and the kids love hershey park. We always stay up on the hill its closer to the train tracks, but we never hear them with the fans running at night. more room and the play ground for the kids is right behind us.

Either way I'm sure you had a great time

There are several lakes in that region. Lake Hamilton and ouachtia. Degray is south of there on hwy 7. Stayed there once. Greers ferry is and pretty lake. Stayed at Heber springs there. You should be able to find a spot in between the different options.

Duckett Mill CG (CoE) Lake Sydney Lanier, Georgia. The first is Site 53 on Memorial Day, the second is Site 91 nine days ago. Both overlooking the water. Being weekenders we haven't ventured too far from home yet.

We live close by and I've been watching that being built. I understand there was a waiting line to get in on Memorial Day! Glad to hear it's a nice place to camp.
