Ahh, ok. That makes sense. He was still at it as of a couple of minutes ago.

The Cape May Ferry used to be the price of my passengers, and the cost of my car and camper. We used to love taking a boat ride to get back in New Jersey from points south. I can't imagine it getting that expensive! I used to figure in the cost of gas to drive around the waterway, to decide the true extra cost. I will be very disappointed to miss my diving break!

I got pulled over just outside of Vail for a trailer light out coming back home from an Elk hunt a couple years back. Stopped at that same Wal Mart in Avon to get a new tailight to get me back in good graces with the law.
Sure is beautiful country out there

Good times!
Quiet. Only about a dozen trailers in the whole place.
Had to make a detour to get out, not sure if I will fit infer that bridge leaving falcon.

For my wife's birthday, (Oct 4), she wanted to go camping somewhere new.

Since I was able to get 4-days off of work, we decided to expand the search and took a 5-hour drive to Rifle Gap State Park (Colorado) and, boy are we glad we did!

Within 4-miles of the park is another park called Rifle Falls where 3 waterfalls cascade down 80-feet....just gorgeous! (But the chihuahuas didn't like the loud noise so had to carry them the entire time...big babies!)

The only negatives were with radio signals. The park is about 15 miles north of Rifle, Colorado and behind two mountains. We had zero TV stations, not able to use our Verizon cell phones except to text, and not even a single AM/FM radio station. (But we went into town at least once a day so was able to return calls, etc.)

The drive from Monument, Colorado was beautiful and had 5 tunnels through mountains which included the Eisenhower tunnel. We stopped in one mountain town named Frisco which looked like it was from a post-card and plan on visiting this winter. (Without the RV, of course.)

We think Rifle Gap may be our annual October birthday get-away!

I posted some pics on my Facebook...let's see if I can post a few:

Way cool! We were just through that area but didn't camp. We stopped at the Frisco Walmart to see if we could overnight there, but the lot was too small.

We stayed the night in Avon, CO at the Walmart there.

And the drove to Rifle, CO for groceries and lunch at the Walmart there.

We'll have to go a bit further North Next time we visit Colorado. We've been enjoying Lake Pueblo State Park recently.

Camping at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI.

Camp Lambeau 9/28/2015 Chiefs 28 - Packers 38. This lot used to be a Kmart located right next door to Lambeau and is the future site of The Title Town Experience. For now, it's RV parking. There were hundreds of RVs and campers, many with Missouri plates. The KC fans were great the brats were grilling well into the early morning hours. This was my first time camping without power and we got a good 24 hours out of the battery including showers in the morning. I may have to upgrade the batteries before my next dry camp. Can't wait to do it again next year. GO PACK GO!
