We drove from Massachusetts to Fort Myers this week and left our 5th wheel behind. One thing that kept the ride interesting was looking at all the RV's running south.

Days Camped, Not Enough
We started 2015 in Key West. We actually departed Jan 1 to head home after a beautiful 9-day stay.
Our first overnight was 500 miles and 20-degrees cooler in Jacksonville, FL at Pecan Park RV:
Our next night was another 500 miles and 10 degrees cooler at Carolina Crossroads RV Park:
Now we are home. We'll unpack the camper tomorrow, winterize it, and will take it to storage before some final warranty work.

Does a hotel room count? Currently holed up at a Residence Inn for work. Looks like this week and maybe the next 2...

We were out camping this past weekend (Thousand Trails, Newport, Or.), but my picture didn't turn out too well (forgot my regular camera and had to use the camcorder). Got a little video of my son enjoying the Mini Golf Course with his new puppy though!

Do you ever camp at Jordan Lake? If so, what sites will accommodate a trailer as big as yours?
Been there twice both times were with my old 30' tt and were a couple of years ago. Best bet is to look at the campsite description on reserve america, it will give you measurements. I do think poplar point and crosswinds are your best best for bigger rigs. When I was there, your vehicle site permit got you into all the other campgrounds without having to pay do you could check them out. This time of year, one of those two should be open so you can do a drive through to check it out. Many sites by the water have the ability to beach or anchor a boat right at your campsite.

I will check them out on reserve america. That's exactly what we are looking to do.......dock the boat really close to the campsite. We did that a few years ago with a neighbor, but I cannot remember the site number. I think poplar and crosswinds open in march. We will check these sites out then
Last October we spent one night at Poplar Point and really liked it. there are several on the water that should fit your needs. A friend of mine raves about Crosswinds and in particular C0024 but it books up really, really fast!
If you look at it online you can see why! Isolated, 74 foot driveway and right on the water!
Good luck!
