Walnut Hills, Virginia KOA in the Shenandoah Valley. Great stop over if driving I 81, or a nice stop for sightseeing. Park is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Very pleasant visit.

Our spot at Mikisew Provincial Park in Ontario. Even had a blue jay stop by for some company, despite our two dogs being 10 feet away!

That said, apparently August is breeding season for banana spiders. These things are HUGE and make huge nests.

Let's play a rousing game of "find the spiders":

Hi,

First nite out in 2016 was on the frozen shore of Rend Lake, IL. This was early January on the way south to Gulf Shores -- temperature overnight in the teens.

The good news is, I had the place all to myself!!!

Great pic! And I think I've had that site before. Albeit in much warmer weather.

Yep, narrow and twisty and no indicators of direction. We were there just a couple of weeks ago but after schools were back in session, so it was fairly empty. We did leave on a Saturday and it was a little more full. But, I didn't encounter any other rigs driving the campground roads.

It was a bit stressful with my setup (60' bumper to bumper).

We visited Fort Sumter while we were there. This was a great tie-in to our Civil War lessons that we are doing right now.

We LOVE James Island CP.

Stay there the week after Father's Day and Thanksgiving weekend every year. The lights at Christmas are amazing.

Well, Iwannacamp you may have to extend your camping ban. Those banana spiders are not just in Florida. We saw them in South Carolina at Huntington Beach state park. They stayed in the foliage.
