Massey's Landing Delaware

A nice weekend at the new Massey's Landing in Delaware. A VERY nice new campground and level unpaved pads.

Friday night was our first night back in our camper after a month hiatus. It was great to be back! We spent the night at Bar Harbor RV park in Abingdon, MD.

Pretty nice place from the little I saw (we didn't explore- it was just a place to park that was close to a friend's wedding venue).

Actually, might have been west of you... but we weren't in Maryland! We drove 400 or so miles yesterday. (Down I-81 to I-77.) We had just gotten into NC. I think the town was Elkin, NC or something like that.

Elkin, NC looks to be even west of Morgantown, WV... yep, a little further west than our little hill.

Another park today- made it > 1,000 miles in 2 days. I'm glad to sit until Tuesday when we head for Disney for 2 weeks! I'm pooped!

DaGrinch, my condolences for your beloved Sasha. Losing pets we love is so painful. We recently made the difficult decision to let our standard poodle go because she had masticated cancer. It was heart wrenching for us.

It is camping at a waste water treatment facility in Wilkesboro NC.

In April of every year they have a bluegrass festival there called Merlefest.
MerleFest | America's top roots based music festival Due to the large response of visitors and request of camping facilities in the area, the city decided to put in power poles and a bathhouse at the place. Everything from tents to Class A's camp there for at least a week at that time. Contrary to popular belief there is no odor to speak of and it is a very nice quiet place.

Good Times and Good Friends and of course Good Food.

There will be another gathering of like minded folks weekend of April 1st. 2017. Anyone Wanna Go?

I challenge anyone brave enough to try it to come spend time with us.

We spent 2 nights at Stagecoach RV park near St. Augustine, FL. Long and level pull thrus. Spacious sites and a good many shade trees around. My only complaint is the lack of pool and the playground was nothing more than 2 rough looking swings.

And Disney's Fort Wilderness. This site easily has a 70' paved pad and was super easy to back in on. If anyone is at the Fort over the next 2 weeks, hit me up!

Morrow Mountain State Park outside of Albemarle, NC.
Another great NC park, all the sites are roomy and even when it was completely full over the weekend it didn't feel crowded. Most of the Picnic tables and fire ring areas are behind the camper pad, not beside it and that was a little different but overall a great place.
