Made a work trip stop in Lafayette, LA and stayed at Pioneer Acadia RV Park right on I-10 in Breaux Bridge. Not a bad place, but super loud with highway noise.

We moved on down the road to Lake City RV Resort (previously known as Oaks N' Pines). Not a bad place- a little highway noise and not a lot of amenities (no pool and no playground for kids). I'd probably stay here again. It had the nicest pool table and sticks that I've ever seen in a public place.

It's a little cozy, but looks cozier because I pulled in backwards to share a yard with friends.

I heard nothing but good about it there, but I was mostly shooting for something closer to my office in downtown Lafayette.

I do think I'll try it if we end up back there.

Pulled into LazyDays campground today. We'll be here for 16 days and officially my longest stay ever at a campground (2 weeks was my previous record). We have a decent site on a cul de sac but parking was tricky because it was angled opposite to the approach and there wasn't quite enough space to make a full u-turn. I used an empty site to sort of make a 3-point turn. It actually went remarkably well. Gotta love my wife as a spotter and director. She makes me look good!

Rocky Mountain skiing baby! Best kind! Stealth is holding up pretty well. 1500 watt Quartz heater and the furnace set to 60. So far so good. Tomorrow night it's supposed to be 6 degrees F.
