We are setup at Disney's Fort Wilderness for 2 weeks. Week 1 is vacation. Then my wife has surgery and we'll do the "life" thing while she starts her recovery.

Celtic Family Jamboree

Weekend of Feb 5-7 @ Sertoma Youth Ranch Dade City Florida for the 4th annual Celtic Family Jamboree (GREAT music with Rathkeltair, Albannach & more). Irish Coffee was served on our site with 5 different Irish Whiskeys to choose from for Saturday breakfast.... that 55 cup coffee maker didn't even last 1 hr thanks to the personal accordion adding to the ambiance. Favorite time is always around 1 - 2 am around the campfires though ...

I am jealous. We were trying to get a site there this weekend while my DW volunteered at the marathon. They did not have anything open. Enjoy. We will be there in a month.

Here's one place we stayed for a few days. Pirates Cove Resort at Needles, CA, right beside the Colorado River.

Ditto! Campgrounds in my area don't open until May!

Thanks Kennys and Tfort. She had the same surgery a few years back, so we sort of know what to expect. But, it's never fun being hacked upon.

It sounds like stuff opened up closer to the date but you probably already had reservations elsewhere. With folks that I know- we have 5 sites, I think. One is a full hookup, the rest are premiums. Where are you guys staying at?

We did the 5K yesterday. We are walkers- there is no running. I'd like to, but that means I'd actually have to train or something!

This weekend was spent locally in Waxhaw, North Carolina on Cane creek @ Cane Creek Park. They recently laid new gravel to level the gravel sites and added an electronic gate at the entrance versus an old Tumbler lock that was there a few months ago. The creek was stunning but breezy, and we got a shower or two though the forecast was clear.

I met my husband at the campground and arrived just in time to catch this...

My husband took photos before I arrived.

Let's see your 2016 Campsites

Garner State Park in the Texas Hill Country. Was 80 yesterday and my five year old was able to wade in the river. Very nice.
