No we were at Playa de Oro this year. But we have The Reef in past years.
The cruise ship port is coming along slowly.

Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach. I had a harder time parking at this pull thru than I have at back-ins most anywhere else!

I hope you are having better beach weather than we are. Here on the outer banks of NC the wind is in excess of 25 with gusts near 40. Two of our 3 slides are pulled in to protect the slide covers.

And.... The forecast is for this strong wind to continue through the night and into late tomorrow afternoon. The Wildcat is sure rocking and rolling.

We spent the night in our Wildcat through three different bad storms in Fort Myers Beach FL in January. The Wildcat really got wild. The last storm was bad enough we went to shelter because of tornado warnings. I was pleased with how well the Cat handled the driving rain and wind... no leaks!

Let's see your 2016 Campsites

Well were in up in Lancaster county pa for the weekend and it snowed all day long here! Suppose to go down to 20 degrees tonight. I guess i should pull the hose off?

Yes, disconnect and drain the hose. Tank heaters on. Then, tomorrow move to a warmer climate😃

Hey...that looks like our spot at Ocean Lakes! Or, one of another 1,000 that look just like it.

Yeah, it's blowing pretty hard. I didn't even try to deploy my awning and I'm pretty consistent with putting it out.

I could hear the slide topper blowing around, but it'll take a bit more than 25-40 for me to bring a slide in.

Yeah, I have a good friend at Circle M who sent me a pic of a snow man that the kids made. I'm SO not pleased to be on my way north. It's too cold for this crap!

Ha! Sure enough. HH18. Pretty close to the rec. center and the beach. Not that it's warm enough to do anything down there AND it's so windy the sand was stinging. Lots of jellyfish on the beach, though.

Wind here has finally died down. We had the 3 slides all in overnight. I have one slide cover that appears to be stretched, or at least not rolled in evenly.

Nice view, Doug.

I agree about campgrounds clearing out on Sunday afternoons. We tend to avoid camping on weekends when schools are out for the summer. We usually do Monday to Friday trips instead. We usually only camp on long weekends in "radio-free" campgrounds. We're not empty-nesters yet but our youngest is 16 now. This will be our first year doing a mid-week camping trip during the school year in 22 years. Grandma will be with our DS for that week.

Took our new 2016 Grey Wolf 23DBH for its first trip out this weekend. Camped at a park about an hour from the house, everything work as it should and had a great time.
Just have to remember when camping in a public campground, you have to deal with yelling kids and drunk adults blasting music.

Nice! We drove thru there today to figure out where we would want to come back to.

Question about the ocean- with the wind blowing from shore to sea yesterday, there were almost no waves. And even today, there were still very small waves. Is this common here that it's a fairly gentle beach?

Stringbreak Music Festival @ The Sertoma Youth Ranch in Dade City, FL. Only going to share campsites here but will comment on the beautiful refinished campers all over the grounds, fantastic music from Thursday until late Sunday night and great people. We have our regular site (703) but am sharing what was going on around the other (much more talented) sites here ...
