Thanks, we'll have to go there sometime; a bit of a drive, but looks so relaxing!
Are most of the sites fairly level? Easy for longer trailers to get in/out of?
Thanks again.

Easy in easy out. We only live maybe 10 minutes away, but you'd never know it when your there. Our 10 year old son has made so many new friends there.

Our first time out this year. We was delayed one weekend because of bad weather. But this weekend at Pipestem State park is very nice.

Unseasonably warm weather on the TN/KY border brings us out for the second time this camping season....this is Standing Stone Tennessee State Park, north of Cookeville, TN near Dale Hollow Lake. Too much to explore in one weekend so we will be back. Fish hatchery nearby, one lane bridge with extra sharp 90° turns requiring entrance from only one direction into & out of park. On the other side of our unit the terrain drops off so steep that you can't even see the top of our neighbor's camp site. Privacy in the form of natural terrain features is a good thing.

Majority of sites are level but some are not level at all. Yes easy in and out. It's a small park and small lake but nice and 35 minute drive from home.
Happy Camping!

Wandering, lucky you, a short drive to peace and tranquility!
Thanks for the information and I'm hoping we can make it down that way this summer/fall. Our nephew/NIL live in a suburb of Cincy, and that would make a nice place to stay and have them come for a visit.

I would think so!
Here's mine right here at the house.
Getting it ready to head out for the first trip this weekend.
With 32 acres here in the mountains of Western PA, I often hate to leave home.

Checking in from Mystic, CT
Thanks to the rec from a fellow forum member, we are currently at Seaport RV Resort in Mystic, CT. My kids are on spring break this week so we decided to go local since hubby still has to work. I didn't want to see them glued to their computers all week, so camping we are! This is a nice place. Kids are having a blast. Tomorrow we are headed to the aquarium and Mystic Seaport.
Here's a picture of the beast and our site.

I like KOA's, most of ones I have stayed at anyway. 95% of the time I can get a pull through full hookup which is what I prefer. Easy booking online. You will find people that love them and people that hate them. The campgrounds are held to a fairly high standard to be in the KOA network. They can be higher priced than the place across the street.

KOAs are the Holiday Inn of campgrounds. 99% of the time you know what you're getting. Any campground that isn't maintained to their standard loses their franchise. They are not large wide open parking lots with concrete pads and some grass - they usually have some trees for a bit of shade - but neither are they woodsy camping in most cases. (We go to one KOA that has a wooded area for tent camping only and we stayed at one in Nova Scotia with a wooded area for smaller campers.)

We often use the KOA app to get a reservation while traveling. We also do Good Sam but GS parks do not have the same standard as KOA. We have been in a few awful GS parks.

Never been there. There are some other good local ones in Garden Prairie (Paradise Camping Resort) and Sycamore(Sycamore RV Resort).
