I won a device from a meat Co that plugs into your I phone that "Emits the Sound of Bacon Frying and The Smell of Bacon!!,just before the Buzzer wakes you up"! The kit has a little Eye dropper of "Bacon Smell" you place in the device! What a Way to "Wake Up"! Youroo!! I think it was from "Oscar Mayer"?

It's ok. Our first time here. Typical Illinois SP... Electric only, but seems well maintained considering the state is broke.

We are in Hickory Point. It is 1 winding, one way loop, so it takes a while to go around to get in and out. This loop sits right on the lake though. Very pretty.

There is another CG loop that we are going to check out today.

We're from Edwardsville, btw.

Love TopSail. Used to go there every year for spring break when kids were young. Been at least 10 years since we have been back. Your campsite looks great.

We tend to like state parks, and are okay with electric only. My wife really likes campsites with good water views, we'll have to check it out. Have you ever tried Boulder Recreation Area (COE) on the east side of Carlyle Lake? It's one of our favorites.

Hickory Creek Wilderness Ranch Tidioute Pa. It is up in the Allegheny mountains. A bit rustic but had a great time and super nice people. DW was walking the dog in the rain and they brought her a umbrella.

A beautiful area only ~5 miles WSW of my rural property where we store our TT. We have gone to HCWR for the PBR events held right around Independence Day each summer.

Yeah that was great huh! We are spending Thursday through Tuesday of Memorial Day week-end at Punderson State Park as our niece is getting married in Chardon.

I much prefer SPs and COE cgs. If your wife likes water views, she'll really like Hickory Point cg at Sangchris. There are many sites that back up to the lake. The one across from us was open when I made reservations, but I wasn't sure I'd fit. It's a good thing. a 30ft trailer and tv are about all that would fit. I'm 60 ft, trailer on the truck. There is another cg at the park Deer something. It isn't on the water though.

Here are a couple of more pics from our campsite.

We've been to Carlyle several times. We had friends that lived on the east side of the lake. Stayed at Boulder and Coles Creek.

Punderson is a nice park about 10 min from us and we go there in the late fall some. They have a manor house with a indoor pool that the kids like. We went to go there about 4 weeks ago and the wife got there before I did and said that they were doing some pretty major improvements to the campground so we went down the road further. Only thing I don't like about Punderson is most of the sites are 20 amp. I am hoping that they were upgrading the power but DW had no idea.

Cherry Hill Park in DC

We HAD ticket to go up the Washington Monument, never did that before... But as our luck would have it, the elevator was broken. Guess we will have to try and get tickets another time!

Now that's funny.
When towing through tight little towns it feels like it has its own zip code, but it's only 42 ft. A lot longer than my old 5er, but 6 ft shorter than our old race trailer.
