Went to rushing river today.
Gong show.
Couldn't make the turn to our site road, was given bad directions, and had to back a 42' 5th about a mile down a muddy twisty forest road.
Got to the site. Sunk the trailer in the ground.
Gave up and left.
Found a hole in the wall off the highway near Kenora.

Let's see your 2016 Campsites
Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.
My in-laws bought 14 acres for $2,500 at a Sheriff's auction and put three full-hook-up sites on it. We have been there a few times and just went again over the 4th of July holiday. The great thing is, we don't have to make a reservation six months ahead of time and we stay for free!
This land is across the road from a cove on the lake and they have a boat and a jet ski. They also built a barn with a washer and dryer, so it is pretty much the perfect campsite.
Deer, coyotes, and raccoons are frequent guests.
They have the Windjammer and our trailer is the other one, a 2013 Rockwood 2703WS. The area that is fenced off is their garden. Farther up the hill, they grow watermelon and cantaloupe.

Gulf Waters RV Resort in Port Aransas, Texas. Right across the dunes to the beach. This is the best RV park in that area.
Backside, parked by one of the ponds, site 758.
Looking out the window with the cats.

What started as a shirt 2-night stop has turned into 6 nights here to visit with family. Fortunately, we took a chance on a park that had mostly terrible reviews and found a gem.
Truth be told, I haven't found anything to complain about- super friendly staff, nice long pull-thru, out-dated but clean bathrooms, and a very convenient location. My only beef is that getting level front to back required lowering our landing gear by a lot. However, we got level and that's what matters, though motorhome drivers might not be so lucky.
I'd gladly come back.
South 40 RV Campground in Petersburg, VA.
