No-see-ums were rough on the beach itself when breeze was low at sunrise but still caught a bunch of beautiful pictures. Turtles were laying eggs & hatching every morning, public dog beach is right next to the state CG (no dogs on the beach) and nice bike paths in to town. Bad fishing on intercoastal and ocean sides ....

Will go back
That last photo is a keeper, very nice. Postcard quality!

My front yard this weekend. Bull Shoals-White River State Park, AR. Some of the best trout fishing in the world (next door to Gaston's--google it). Feeling blessed that it's 2:45 from my real front door!

Wolf Creek State Park on Lake Shelbyville, IL. Camp host says it was packed here last weekend, but this weekend 75 percent of the sites are empty. Might be the 110 degree heat index. . .

Others have commented about this beautiful place near Colorado Springs. Our site No. 8 did not disappoint. Spacious and nicely landscaped. Welcoming. Friendly. Recommended.

Headed south, we stopped for a quick overnight at Thousand Trails Oaks at Point South. The part we were in was a very tight pull-thru spot that I couldn't; there were some ill-placed trees on the far side that blocked me from pulling out. Instead, I backed out of the spot.

Needed mowed and just not well kept. Ok for an overnight, but I would definitely consider somewhere else for a stay.

We stayed a Sun-Fri at Flamingo Lake in Jacksonville, FL. My cousin joined us from Alabama and stayed in a yurt. Overall, I really liked it here- though many of the sites were too cozy for my comfort. I really liked our site, #117- cozy but sort of private.

In Melbourne, FL, we stayed at a place called Wickham Park. It's a county park with a small RV park in it. Many of the spots are seriously laid out weird- you have to pull into them but they aren't pull-thrus. The first site they assigned us would have been tricky to pull into with the placement of some trees and a stop-sign. (Plus, we had some seriously less than desirable neighbors- yippee dog and stereotypical husband figure who stormed out, got in his truck and squealed tires/fish tailed it out of their site. Our new site has a real nice shade tree.
