Emma Woods State Park. Can’t get much closer to the Pacific than this.

2 Rivers Campground Carrollton, KY
Recently completed trip to San Antonio.
This is Jan 15. Roads to get here were clear and dry....
Several long termers here, but friendly. One warned me to check the water spigot if I was going to use it - apparently several were out of order. This is a register by web only park at this time of year. Full hook-ups. Level concrete pull-thru sites with new asphalt roads thru the camp. Bath house was nice and clean. Short walk to the Ohio River.
A nice place for an overnight stop, I would use it again if going thru this way.

Hinton RV Park Sikeston, MO
Second stop, Jan 15-16. Weather report in the morning was for snow flurries along our route with <0.1" of snow. Well, it was right up to the last 45 minutes of our trip. Then the sky opened up!
Park has a number of pull-thru sites up in front for short term folks. Water was off night we were here. Older place, but seemed to be well taken care of.
Picture taken on the 16th. Snow obviously had stopped. I had been on the good wi-fi checking road cams. Showed the x-way as either wet or dry and traffic moving at speed. So we left. A little dicey for the first 20 miles, never got over 30 mph. There were lots of semis and other vehicles in the ditches. After that we quickly got back to normal cruising speed and dry pavement.

Willow Beach Campground (COE), Scott AR
Day three - 1/16-17
Very nice COE park. Pretty deserted the night we were there. Water/Electric only. We stayed dry and didn't even try the water. Huge paved parking sites. Nice bath house. Site was level, though we never in-hitched. We grabbed one of many sites backup up to the lake. Very cheap stay with out National Parks senior pass...
If I recall correctly, that's a 1/2 ton pulling the small 5th wheel (I know I saw one on this trip).

Clear Springs Campground (COE), Texarkana TX
Probably my favorite campground from this trip. There was still snow on the ground on 1/19. One loop of the campground is full hook-ups. Others are W/E only. Bath house was a little chilly, but clean and well maintained. Level paved parking on large sites with lots of trees, could be a problem for sat TV. Lots of over the air TV channels with good reception. Park staff was friendly. There is an electronic gate out front - need to code to get in after hours. Saw three deer wander thru. Camp was mostly deserted, only a few others in the park.

Martin Creek Lake State Park, Tatum TX
Our first stop on our way home. Nice state park. W/E. Nice large level sites, paved parking spot. Roads were in great shape. There were a number of folks out on the lake early doing some fishing. Looked a bit cold to me...
Pic with parking lot is of the day use area where the fishing folk launched.

We just wrapped up a stay at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake. It is an Orlando, FL city park. Absolutely beautiful! Wooded setting and spacious sites. There are sites with full hookups, but we ended up on a site with just water and electric.
If there weren’t so many Thousand Trails/Trails Collection parks in the area AND if it wasn’t so hard to get into, I’d absolutely go back often!
For folks going to Universal Studios, this was a very short drive to get there. We drove past it often as we headed out and about.
Even driving into Disney wasn’t too far away, but it was a fair amount of I-4 (which is yuck!).
Otherwise, we made a trip to the Apopka Wildlife Drive (I think that’s the name). We saw a bunch of alligators and an amazing array of birds.
The laundry room and bath house were nice.

We visited our summer site today. It is still under about 4 feet of water from the Ohio River flooding. But overall the camp ground looked better than expected. Not as bad as previous floods. The blue thing in the picture us a steel walkway to the dock. It was flipped and then twisted around a tree. Our site is usually beside that walkway.. Glad no trailers were in yet when that run out came through!

That sucks about the tire but at least you made it there, Angle Fire looks like a great park. I was just at the ski resort around a month ago for the snow shovel races, it was really something different to see but the ski resort looked like they were having a really bad season. Hope to use the rv resort our next trip that way.
