Our last trip took us to the Holiday-travel-park in VA Beach, Virginia.
Absolutely, some of the best beach weather I've seen all summer.Only pictures of the campsite was at night when my lights and campfire illuminated the 5th wheel. I did however get a picture of one if the nicest restroom/bathhouses in a campground I have seen.
Additionally, my wife and I did get the opportunity to visit the Oceana Air Show. The show was absolutely fantastic.

If you do I recommend booking super early, I tried booking for Labor Day back in June and no luck the 21st of sept was the earliest I could do for a weekend.

Camped for four nights @ Hells Canyon RV/Marina resort in Clarkston WA. It is right on the snake river with a large marina. If you are camping you get a brake on mooring your boat. They have an indoor pool and hot tub. The staff were super friendly and everything was very clean. All spots have (2) 50/30 amp pedestals on both sides and (2) sewer dumps on both sides you can park in what ever direction you want. The pedestals lit up once dark with a lime green night light (just enough to see) Once in while you could hear the trucks at times using their Jake brakes coming off the bridge. @ $40 a night it was way cheaper then the $100 a night for the hotel the conference was at.

Stopped at the Bear Den campground in Grangeville ID. I wanted to see the wooly mammoth display there. The campground has a great dog walk (I had Jake and his friend Fred with me). The staff did say after dark let the dogs go right at my site because of the coyotes coming into the park. this is a very clean small park with super clean showers and toilets. Full hookups with cable gravel spots close to level. The mammoth was taken out of Tolo lake west of Grangeville said to have the most wooly mammoth bones in the country.

Did you have reservations? They were booked (for reservable sites) last weekend... Otherwise we'd have been there too.

Yes, we had reservations for 4 nights on the same site...we noticed other campers moving from site to site almost daily as there were no consecutive nights on the same site.

I pretty much refuse to do that. I'm always surprised how many people leave on Saturday. I mean, not everyone's schedule is the same, but *most* people have sat/sun off. Why would you leave?

We always end up in the first loop too. Site 113 sounds familiar, but I'd have to look at my log....
