Here are pics of 5 of 7 different places we stayed on our trip from Omaha to the Canadian Rockies back in September. They are Lake Minatare State Rec Area (Nebraska), Devils Tower KOA, Canyon RV Resort in Radium Hot Springs, BC, Wabasso in Jasper National Park and Tunnel Mtn. Village (II I think) in Banff NP, Not included are the KOA in Great Falls MT and Mountain View RV park in Sundance WY.

Just finished our last trip for the season. We started at the KOA in Corbin Ky. Very nice campground with level sites. They are close to one another but staggered instead of a straight line where your slide out is over someone else's picnic table. Then on to Big Meadows in Townsend TN. boy, we did not want to go home! So pretty down there and we just like the Southern hospitality and pace. The WJ towed great behind the new Ram. We kept looking to be sure it was still back there!!

We had a great weekend at Delaware Water Gap KOA. It was there Halloween weekend and they had tons of things to do. Even a haunted hayride around the campground. Lots of sites were decorated. We had 8 campers all in a row, good times and lots of food. Last pic is leaving this afternoon cant tell but it was just starting to flurry a bit. If it was the last trip of the year it ended good.

Forgot to take pic while set up. Snapped this as we were leaving Eby’s Pines RV Park & Campground in Bristol,IN.

Yesterday it rained, snowed, hailed, 40-50 mph winds and some sunshine. All four seasons in one day. Finished off last night at 34 degrees.

Our last trip of the year.

Just spent a few days at the Forest Lake RV Resort and Campground, a Thousand Trails park in Advance, NC. They assigned sites and we lucked into a beautiful lake-side spot. We also ended up next to another family who fulltimes. Our boys hit it off and literally fished all week long.

Another great weekend down at Camping with the Blues at the Sertoma Youth Ranch in Brooksville, FL. Plenty of new camping buddies met (& future plans made), Irish coffee served to many (as usual) & fantastic music with IBMA award winners playing Fri - Sun.

A new blues fest is starting there this March for anyone interested - will be able to pick up a good site easily with the first annual event. Check out the Sertoma event calendar to get to the proper link

Joforbess, we just left there last week. Had a good time except for near constant rain. We checked out couple of restaurants, not as good as I had hoped. Enjoy your stay.

Buck Creek State Park in Ohio. Very nice park. Trees are just starting to change.

Enroute to my daughters house so she and her family can borrow the camper for a Halloween camp out this weekend.

Red Gate campground in Hendersonville, NC (just south of Asheville). Beautiful park and super friendly folks for camphosts and even met one of the owners. It's pretty tiny at only about 20 sites. $45 for a full hookup pull-thru spot. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Lassen National Forest October 2018

Stumbled on this dispersed camping site while headed to a NF Campground in Lassen National Forest. So quiet the only sounds came from the wind across the tree tops and an occasional loud mouthed Crow.

Even my pup was relaxed:

Since I was on no schedule I spent three days there.

No facilities at all and the creek that runs by the back of the site only has water in it during the spring snow melt. No Cell Service, No TV, and also no traffic going by on the forest service road. Saw a total of 8 cars/pickups in the time I was there and since the road is about 200 yards from the site little or no dust/noise from the passing traffic. For the curious, it's on the road to Butte Creek NF Campground off hwy 44 in N. California. This is the road from Susanville to Shasta. For years I've driven through there and wanted to stop but since I was still working, no time.

One downside, it's in the trees and I had to move my solar panels several times as the patch of sun moved.
