I believe the 2104S/21DS don't come with a ladder on the rear because of all the utilities being located on the left rear corner. Water heater and outside shower are there and the city and antifreeze inlets. And the main power comes in just to the side of that. At least on the 2015 they are all located in that corner. And on the other corner is the skylight for the shower and spare tire.

On my 2013 21DS, the only impediment would be the shower bubble at the top right side you'd have to climb around. our water heater, shower, and city and antifreeze inlets are actually all located on the side of our trailer on the opposite side.
How often do you need to go on the roof anyway? I'm not one who washes mine.

Our early 2018 2104s came with a rear ladder as an option from the factory. The invoice lists it as RLT1705 Rear Ladder. I’ve been up on the roof many times checking sealant and cleaning. I’m about 165lbs and the roof supports me without problem. I will say that the ladder is not as sturdy as I had hoped and I have since purchased an aluminum telescoping ladder to use. When camping if I need to get onto the roof I will use the factory ladder if necessary.

If you can leave your Murphey bed down while traveling you will gain a slightly lower center of gravity, and you're moving some weight off the tounge towards the axels.
The key words here are SOME and SLIGHTLY.

My 21ds did not have a manual slide override tool. Dealer said they typically don't come with it,and gave me a number to call. Left a message, and got no call back. Bought one on amazon. Has anyone experienced anything like this?.

Where does it fit, and how do you use it?

Change of subject, I have a homeowners association, so I store my 21 Ds in a Kansas rv storage at dollar and a half a foot. $33 dollars a month. This seems reasonable, is this the going price?

Wish I could find that price for storage in my area! I pay about twice that for winter storage.

I have a 2018 2504S, flat nose and you can't have the murphy bed down when the slide-out is in. It almost was a deal killer when we purchased it because if you're on the road and need to do a road side stop for a few hours sleep you have to let the slide-out out a couple of feet in order to let the bed down. Moving the slide-out back one foot would have eliminated this, but I'm glad we went with the purchase. I'm pleased overall with the 2504S

I have a 2018 2504S, flat front. I want to install a powered roof vent where the un-powered one is over the sofa/murphy bed. Someone said Forest River already has wiring to that "hole" even though there is no powered fan there. Anybody know? If not, what is the best way to fish wires through the foam ceiling insulation? I thought about trying to hook into one of the ceiling lights.
