Nancy and I are just about as new as possible to M Lites. We are waiting for our first Lite to be delivered. Needless to say we are excited, maybe I am more excited than Nancy, and value any information we can hear about your M Lite experiences.
My husband and I are also pretty new to M Lites. We took delivery of our early 2019 2511s the end of Sept 2019.

A little about us...
DH has been retired since 2008. He drove trucks 20+ years before he was deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is a disabled war Vet. I only recently (May 2019) took early retirement. Most of my time was as a stay at home mom. We have 5 sons. Our 2nd oldest died in the line of duty April 2009 at the age of 26. Our 2 youngest are in college.
DH loves to fish and piddle in his shop. I love to cook and read books.

Topic questions:
In your M Lite travel...
Do you travel with bikes? Nope
Have you made any modifications to your M Lite?
DH installed sticky tiles in our kitchen (a light green subway tile) and bathroom (small brown and shades of beige tiles)
Switched out the shower head
Changed storage door locks (no more 751) and door lock (now keyless entry)
Added a mattress topper
Added a drop down counter extension to replace the big bulky extension that had to be put on and taken off.
Added raised panels to refrigerator.
Added knobs to cabinets over theater seats.
Added various hooks for hanging.
Hung a basket to upper cabinet for cookbooks.
Purchased a new faucet with spray nozzle for kitchen sink and new digital thermostat yet to be installed.
IF you have a slide does it function alright? Yes
If you use your M Lite to travel where is your favorite spot... so far? I love the mountains and Happy Holidays campground in Cherokee is awesome. Nice clean big spaces.

What sheets do you use? I bought regular queen sheets from WalMart.
Here is one, where do you put your trash can? I bought a small stainless and put it in the corner by the fridge and I have a small plastic one under the bathroom sink.
Have you added any towel racks?
Purchased a set of 2 tension towel bars I put in the shower for wet clothes. They are up and out of the way.
Any tricks for storing things in cabinets during travel?
Bought little dish holders that have rubber bottoms. They hold my plates and cereal bowls in place. Small totes hold all food items. I keep the coffee maker and toaster boxes for storage on the move. So far no drawers or cabinet doors have popped open. DH was worried I would fill every nook and cranny but less is more. Aside from keeping UPS and FedEx extremely busy for weeks I bought MOSTLY necessities. I do have cute throw pillows on our recliners and bed and various pictures and plaques DH teases me about. It's our home away from home and I had a ball fixing it the way I wanted.

Glad to find this group. DW and I bought our 2020 Flagstaff Micro Lite 22FBS in June. Our 6th camper over many years. We've had pop up > hybrid > TT > 5th wheel > TT, and now our 22FBS. Two week long trips so far and really like it. A few mods include 10 speed reversible Maxx Aire fan over the bed with cover, hard wired Progressive EMS, digital T-stat, matress topper, shower skylight insert, and of course Command hooks wherever DW wanted them.

Hi Everyone, not sure Im in the right area but I have a quick question. I just took delivery on a Mini Lite 2109s. The question is: where on the mattress does the heat controller plug in? During the walk thru the tech showed me the controller and the AC outlet but he made no mention of where on the mattress it gets plugged into. I cant seem to find it.

The plug is at/near the top on the curb side of the mattress.

Plug is at the top of the mattress in the middle just below the edge.

My outside kitchen mini fridge only works on shore power. I guess they had a reason. The outside plug is only a few feet away and it works off solar. I’m wondering if anyone has converted the mini fridge to the solar circuit and what’s involved or should I even do it. The inside fridge is 2 way 12V, propane. I’m wondering if the mini sucks more power than the inside fridge. I’d like to keep beer in the mini, even in the driveway at home. I have 570W solar and 200 aph battery. I could plug in but want to test the solar system.

Upper cabinet in 2109s

Hello all, I am about a year long lurker and have learned a lot from this forum.
I have a 2021 mini lite 2109s and prior had a 2016 2109s. We love some of the upgrades from 2016 to 2021. However, we have far less storage space in the kitchen than in our 2016 model. We have an oven, which we didn't have and the upper cabinet has less space.
I'm wondering if the end of the cabinet towards the front of the TT could hold a little more space as there seems to be a panel inside the cabinet that looks to have about 6" of space between it and the outside of the cabinet. Anyone know if it's empty space or if there are electrical or mechanical things inside?
The top and back edges of the plywood are screwed into place but the bottom and front seem to be caulked or glued into a groove. I want to know what's back there but I don't want to damage it just to find out that space isn't usable space.
Not sure why my pics uploaded upside down??

It's frustrating to have dead spaces in trailers. On my 21DS, I've reclaimed space in the cabinets over the beds and dinette by adding additional doors, converted the tip-out in front of the sink to a 9" drawer, and pushed back the panel in the bathroom sink cabinet 2" to give a little more space. It looks like you can unscrew that panel in your cabinet to see what's back there without damaging anything. You may just need to chisel away a glue seal. I'd say go for it, and let us know what you discover.

we have the Micro Lite 25KS, we are all electric so DW uses the oven as a storage cabinet for dishes,

typically, the space above most fridges are voids and can be opened up and used as a very good storage area, we did that,

you'll find that FR very often uses only staples when installing the paneling pieces, makes them very easy to remove,

Ok. So I finally tore into that cabinet. I was actually putting the screws back in and put too much pressure on the shelf and it popped loose from whatever it was attached to so there was a sag in the middle.
Well, that lead to a little prying and a little pulling and I got the side panel out.
There's a bundle of electrical towards the back. I will be able to build a bump-out over that area and gain about 7" x 15" deep x 12ish" tall.

Finished the small shelf to the cabinet to take advantage of the new found space.
And FYI, the claims by Forest River that they don't use wood grained paper wrap for face frame cabinets is patently false.

Anything you DON'T like about it? Wondering if it would be worth the upgrade.

So I take it you don't have the Murphy bed option? Or do you have two couches?

I agree with you there. We also have the queen walk-around bed in our 2013 but the mattress was replaced by the prior owner to something firmer. Our slide contains a U-shape dinette instead of the couch and my grandson has no problems sleeping on it when converted to the bed.

Huge problem on my 2109s

My wife and I were camping this weekend at an electric only camp-site this weekend in our 2021 Mini Lite 2109s that I bought in July. We ran out of fresh water Saturday evening. Pulled several hoses together from neighbors and had a full hook up site that was empty we could pull water from. Filled the tank and thought Holy Cow we used a ton of water.
I just couldn't imagine 2 Navy showers, some toilet flushing and washing dishes in wash basins twice would account for 52 gallons.
So tonight I filled my tank until water was coming out the overflow, put the cap on and started draining my tank into 12 gallon totes. I quite literally have 12 gallons of water capacity. This is a far cry from the 52 gallons listed on the Forest River website and my experience with my 2016 mini lite 2109s.
I've emailed my dealer but not sure what to do next. I can tell you I'm so dang mad that I could kick the neighbor's cat!
