There's no outside access to that area so I can't see in it without unscrewing & removing the board. If so, I'm going to need to decide between doing it myself, which I THINK I could do, or getting the portable unit.

TsnTexas - I'm sooo jealous! My husband is having a hip replacement in less than 2 weeks. We're going to be try to get our garden in before that so our first trip is going to be WEEKS out! I'm sooo bummed. I love this floorplan. Need to be patient & take care of the necessary stuff first & then we'll hopefully have lots of years to enjoy it!

Craigster - what does the fireplace run on? Do you get good heat from it? Where did you wire in your portable protector?

the fireplace is electric and it has 2 heat settings or "flame" only. I bought it from camping world and removed it from the enclosure it came in. the portable protector is in the storage compartment under the bunks. the main power supply cord is in that entertainment wall, I just disconnected it from the receptacle on the side of the camper to connect the protector inline and ran it to a new receptacle then ran a short piece of wire from outside receptacle to a plug. nice thing is I can unplug the protector to test power at pedestal if I need to or bypass it all together if something happens to it.

Tip - I found this gadget to be really handy when dry camping. Keeps tabs on the charge level of the battery much better than the lights on the control panel. It's the Innova 3721 sold on Amazon.

Hello all,

We recently purchased a microlite 25bhs and had a couple of questions:

The bunk ladder on my 25bhs seems too large. When I hook it over the top bunk, the angle between the ladder and the floor seems pretty big. It's so large, that the bathroom door doesn't clear the ladder. If I make the ladder more upright, the hooks sit above the lip on the top bunk. In Forest River's brochure, the picture seems to show a bunk ladder that when set up would allow the bathroom door to open and close. I was just wondering if any other 25bhs or mini lite 2504s owners have experienced this or if I have the wrong ladder.

Also, neither of my bunk windows have night shades, though that is an option listed on the sticker and the rest of the windows that should have night shades do. I was just wondering if other units were the same or if I have two night shades missing.

Someone else a few days ago was complaining that his ladder seemed too short. Maybe you got his!

(If push comes to shove, saw a few inches off the bottom of the ladder.)

Ours is the same, figured since the lower window is the emergency exit, that explains the curtain only. Guess they matched the upper window to it.

I just checked our 2016 2504s & the ladder blocks the opening of the bathroom door. We don't have the night shades on the bunk windows either. I was disappointed about that as we have a very early rising 3-y-o granddaughter & darker is better!!! Due to surgery my husband had to have, our new trailer hasn't been taken on its first trip yet. I'm hoping by the end of June!!! In the meantime, I'm learning lots here!

We are closing down our 2015 2104s after a weekend camping trip. I took out the fridge drip pan to dry it and when I go to put it back in I see a length of electrical cord with a plastic tip cover. It looks like a sensor but I don't recall seeing it just hanging down before. Does anyone know where this is supposed to be?

Could be the thermostat sensor. If that's the case there should be a plastic clip with a slot in it clipped on the last fin which this would fit into. The clip slides up and down on the fin - the higher up it sits the colder the fridge.

Thanks all for the replies -I think I will shorten our ladder by a few inches. Glad to know our unit is the same as others in terms of the night shades as well. I hadn't thought of the emergency exit not having one.

I was not too keen about putting up towel rack on the wall or door in our 2016 ML 21DS. Studs were not in the right place and did not want to install it on the door! Did find a place for the toilet roll dispenser! I did purchase a "over the door" hook, one that I can simply hang over the door in camp!

You guys get the exterior gas grill with your ML? Mine did and I can hook into the lp tanks with the quick connect fitting on the line! I also added a quick connect to my camp chef stove/oven so I can also use the trailer lp gas line. No need to have all those small jugs of lp gas!!

Yes, I connect my Camp Chef stuff to my quick connect as well. Love it! Don't have to bring the 20-pounder if I don't want to. Love my Camp Chef stuff!
