Moving from Utah to PA

Hello all, I relocated from PA to UT for work, then the section I was working in shutdown! So I figured I'd head back to PA and be closer to family. I pulled my 35' Wildcat with a Ford 250 V10 in March. I travelled along I 80 to Nebraska where I picked up US 30 to Pittsburgh then I 76 to Harrisburgh then I 83 to home.

Along the way, I was blown/slid completely off I 80, the motor for my landing gear broke after I disconnected for some sightseeing and I spend a few hours and a tire jack and some bricks getting it back on, I got stuck in the mud, my 12volt didn't want to charge off shore power, flat tire, and I missed a sign on a downhill winding road that lead me to a 10'6" overpass with a 13' high trailer! This involved police and a tow truck.

What a fun life I chose to live!

Sounds exciting! I lived in Stewartstown for a while. Nice place, but the lack of pizza delivery never did sit well with me.

Welcome back to the insanity. Different kind of people here in the east, always seem to be in a hurry. When I get back from CO or from AL, I cant believe how people act/drive like if they don't hurry they'll miss something. BTW, I'm just north of you in Dover.

So you took US-30 through Chicago with a 35 footer? Wow. I tried that with my popup once, never again. Traffic lights every 1/2 mile or less, 2 lane in lots of places, 45mph top speed limit. Should have stayed on the interstate and taken it easy.

Ever been to Chicago? It's ALL Chicago!!!! (But you're right, it goes through Joliet.) But all those towns east of there are basically Chicago suburbs - that's how you get fooled when you look on the map! You think you're out in the sticks, but you're not.

Lived in Bolingbrook for 5 yrs and worked in Hinsdale, so yes, I've been to Chgo.
Even pulled a 24' 5er thru Chgo with an 81 El Camino, I55 to I294 down to I80 to Elkhart, IN and on to Rossburg, OH
