oddly shaped beds still need sheets!

Our Microlite dinette converts into bed that is 43" wide, 88" long, and 5" deep.

These dimensions are wrong for a full size fitted sheet, a twin fitted sheet, an XL twin fitted sheet, or a queen fitted sheet.

Surely others of you have oddly shaped beds, too. Where do you get your bedding? Do you just use fitted sheets that are too big and wrestle with them all night? Use strapping? Tape???

Master has a short queen and those sheets are relatively easy to find online but I've looked all over the place for anything remotely close to these dimensions. Where does one get fitted sheets for a bed that measures 43x88 especially if one doesn't sew.....

Thanks!

Not sure. You can handle the width with ready made sheets, but that length is a problem.

About the only solution ( since you like many people don't sew ) is to get a flat sheet long enough for the bed and uses these suspender like things to make the bottom sheet behave like a fitted sheet.

We bought some of the rubbery rolls that people line their cabinets with to give traction to the contents.

I cut them to length and lined the plywood under the dinette benchs and the bunk beds mattresses with it in our old TT. We then used flat sheets tucked under the mattress. That stuff grabbed the flat sheets and held it in place. I guess the mattresses pressing it down into the grippy stuff was enough friction to keep the sheets from pulling out. Cheap fix for a frustrating problem our first few trips. There's a little MacGyver in all of us ;-)
